Rightmove reveals 2024 asking price hotspots

Agents and vendors in Sunbury-on-Thames in Surrey appear to have been the most bullish when it came to asking prices in 2024.

Analysis by Rightmove has revealed that the average asking price of a home for sale in Sunbury-on-Thames rose from £527,005 in 2023 to £592,976 in 2024 – up 12.5%.

This won’t necessarily translate to sold prices though and the latest Land Registry data up to November 2024 shows annual property price growth was up just 0.6% annually.

Bristol City Centre is second on the list of asking price hotspots with average prices rising by 9% compared with the end of 2023 and Swinton in Manchester came third, with prices by the same figure. Estate Agent Today
